Violin Chin Rests in Burl Wood

These particular pieces add an elegant and functional touch. This is a part that rests against the shoulder and lets the musician play the violin in comfort.

A violin is an expensive and elegant instrument, and it deserved a splendid finish. That is why we chose our HMR-154 burl wood for the job.

How did we get such a spectacular finish?

We get asked that a lot ^^

  1. As always, you need to clean the part of any dust and grease, and then scuff it. You can do this with a fine sandpaper (a fine grit).
  2. A coat of plastic primer, which creates a suitable bond for the base paint.
  3. We used a dark beige.
  4. Apply the hydro dipping film.
  5. Rinse and leave to dry.
  6. Apply two or three coats of gloss lacquer for a realistic finish that protects the part.
