Marble Effect Hydro Dipping
Hello everyone! Today we are presenting a project that we were passionate about and had great fun with: a terrarium. How can a terrarium be fun? Easy: make it look like a different material.
The piece we are showing here is made of white plastic, and the brief was a challenge: turn it into an elegant object of magnificent red (or rather reddish) marble.
So we got down to work and followed the steps we always recommend:
The process
- Clean and scuff the part.
- Apply plastic primer to provide a bonding surface between the plastic and the paint.
- Prime the part in white, using a white primer for the purpose.
- Apply the HMM-031 film, which resembles Alicante red marble.
- Once rinsed, apply a highly resistant matt clear coat.
