WHAT IS HYDRO DIPPING?
Water Transfer Printing, hydrographic printing or hydro dipping is the process of transferring a design or pattern onto almost any material, however complex its shape.
The process uses a water-soluble polyvinyl film, which we call hydro dipping film, printed with the design to be transferred. The film is laid on the surface of the water in a tank and, thanks to the activator, turns into liquid ink. When the part is dipped, the pressure of the water makes the ink adhere to it. Finally, a protective lacquer, gloss or matt as you prefer, protects the design from scratches and knocks for years.
What kind of parts can I decorate with hydro dipping?
Hydro dipping can be applied to a wide range of materials, such as plastics, metals, wood, glass and ceramics.
It also works on almost any shape: small, large, flat, curved, spherical, mesh or tubular parts, and more.

What materials do I need for hydro dipping?
The main materials you need to learn this technique are base paints and primers, hydro dipping film and the activator. Finally, a lacquer is applied to protect the design.
